Established in 1979, Chung Ying Theatre Company (CYTC) is a reputed theatre organisation financially supported by the Government of the HKSAR and a Venue Partner of Kwai Tsing Theatre, dedicating to promote dramatic arts and develop educational and outreach programmes. We are now looking for high calibre professionals to join our dynamic team.

Assistant Stage Manager (12-month contract)
Job Duties:
To assist Stage Managers in the creation of forms, lists, run order, etc.;
To assist Stage Managers and directors in all rehearsal hall needs;
To perform daily setup and cleaning, track props and scenery, assist in the maintenance of stage presets, assist in scenic changes and provide clear communication between the Deputy Stage Manager and the crew under the direction and assignment of the Stage Managers;
To maintain a safe and clean workspace including rehearsal spaces, backstage area;
To maintain smooth operation of productions during technical rehearsals and performances; and
To work in a safe, efficient, and organised manner.
Requirements:
Hong Kong permanent resident;
Degree holder or an accredited professional diploma in Stage and Event Management or equivalent;
With profound knowledge and experience in safety, experience in cultural and performing arts industry preferred;
Be creative and flexible to interpret safety requirements within a live performance environment;
Have experience of working alongside Stage Managers and Production Managers to ensure that all operations and installation of stage settings and equipment are safe and comply with legislation;
Be self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure, and manage a busy workload with high productivity;
Be proficient in computer skills including MS Office; and
Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English.
Programme and Communications Officer (12-month contract)
Job Duties:
To assist in programme planning, producing and coordination of stage performances, educational and outreach projects, and ad hoc projects as assigned;
To assist in the execution of strategic communications plans to enhance company awareness and manage deliverable timelines. Participate in, and may lead project production meetings and follow up sponsorship opportunities;
To maintain a strong media network, handle media interviews, reporting and other related functions;
To collaborate with other departments for logistics;
To assist in managing and liaising with artists and service providers;
To manage budget and compile reports; and
To provide a full spectrum of administration and secretary support to senior management.
Requirements:
Hong Kong permanent resident;
Degree holder or above;
2 years of solid working experience in theatre production and/or marketing;
Strong interest in performing arts;
Good understanding of theatre production process as well as local performing arts field;
Detail minded and self-motivated; open to flexible working hours;
Strong communication and coordination skills;
Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;
Knowledge of graphic design basics and web publishing tools is an advantage; and
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Progarmme and Communications Officer.
Education & Outreach Officer (12-month contract)
Job Duties:
To create, implement and optimise creative campaigns across social media platforms;
To assist in execution of both online and offline marketing plans for educational and community theatre programmes;
To answer enquiries on social media and on phone;
To perform video and photo editing;
To collaborate with internal and external partners on execution of community arts programmes including productions and exhibitions; and
To involve other editing works e.g. book publication, writing proposals and reports.
Requirements:
Hong Kong permanent resident;
Degree holder or above in language, journalism, creative media, digital marketing or relevant disciplines;
Preferable to have at least 1-year working experience in digital marketing;
Knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro;
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
Strong interest in education and community work;
Strong communication and presentation skills; and
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Education and Outreach Officer.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Fringe benefits include rest days, public holidays, annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, medical insurance, employee’s compensation insurance and MPF.
