Dr Szeto Sau May attained her Doctoral degree in language education at Beijing Normal University. Her main research area was language education and thinking training, drama education and reading and writing education, and has published monographs on language and literature education. She was the Assistant Professor of the Department of Chinese Language Studies in Education University of Hong Kong.

Szeto now sits in the Board of Directors of Chung Ying Theatre Company.
