Retire? Rather, Re-ignite on Stage

Since 2013, Chung Ying Theatre Company has held the "Golden Aged Theatre” every year to provide not only drama training, but also a performance stage for the elderly. Given that most of the participants are retirees, the project aims to help them adapt to the change of life, broaden their social circle, and express themselves through performances.

The elderly members are not merely passive participants, but active contributors who are free to share their own opinions and experiences during the script creation process under the guidance of drama tutors. In this sense, drama becomes a medium for sharing their ideas with others. In addition to performances in theatres, the members will also participate in community tours, showcasing the vibrant energy of active aging.
